My amazing sister sent these to me a few weeks ago and it has taken me forever to share them. These are… (wait for it) her very first 3 doodles… EVER! I can’t stand it. And I can’t wait to see what else she comes up with. Since she’s a card-maker, I am envisioning sparkly doodles in layers of prettily (is that a word?) cut papers and stamps. Challenge accepted, Gianna?

I’ve been in quite a creative rut lately for various reasons. I hate not being creative. It’s like not drinking water. Eventually I move slower, get more tired, and just want to sleep… I need creativity. Need it.

Sometimes it’s just not there. You can’t really force it. I mean, you can do some exercises to try to get the juices flowing again but there’s no guarantee. That’s why I wanted to post today. Lots of creative people have creative blocks. You’re not alone if you’ve ever sat down to draw and nothing has come – every time for a month. Or three months.

Yesterday I sat down and made myself draw again. It was icky. So I put it down. Then tried again. It was still icky. Today I picked it back up and kept pushing through it. The end result is… eh. But it’s something.
